Leo Lovechild is a songwriter, poet, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader from New York City, who is highly concerned with bridging gaps and blurring lines. “Bad Behavior” (lead single off his upcoming full-length album, released in August of 2023), is a scathing but brutally honest look at the New York art scene and Lovechild’s place within it after nearly 30 years calling the Big Apple his home. The release showcases his lyrical brilliance and furthers the scope of Lovechild and his band’s classic but innovative approach to songsmanship. He followed “Bad Behavior” with “Coming Back Around” (released in September of 2023). A tender but emotionally fraught and lyrically rich coming of age love story, “Coming Back Around” not only extends Lovechild’s prowess as a songwriter, but also showcases his bedroom production skills, as the single is lush with banjo, glockenspiel, pedal steel guitar, and synthesizers to complement the traditional rock and roll instruments present in most of his catalogue. His next single, “Your Love,” is due out in November, with his second full-length record, Sad Songs to Make You Happy, set to release in early 2024.

BEN EZRA

With over 20 years of songwriting and performance experience in local cafes, folk clubs in America and overseas in England and Germany, Ben Ezra has pursued an artistic path to visually and lyrically connect the clouds to the streets. In a smooth baritone he wanders from tales of hard times and heartaches to uplifting moments of hope and victory. With a great sense of humor, imagination and whimsy his music is able to contain both light and dark scenes without forgetting to entertain and inspire audiences.

His sound to a country fan compares to Johnny Cash, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and Hank Williams while folk music fans hear Bob Dylan, Nick Drake or Bill Callahan. Lyrically it’s an adventure thru vast landscapes, stormy oceans, hitchhiking, ghosts and rodeo clowns, eagles and wolves or a big orange moon rising over gritty Chicago sidewalks.
