We have added a new event for 2022!

The Derby Sip & Shop is a Spring wine & beer walk. Participants will visit local boutiques and stores while tasting wine from regional local wineries and beer from local breweries. Spend an afternoon in historic Downtown New Albany with family or friends. There will be some snack stations along the way and our downtown restaurants will be open for all your lunch or dinner needs. Our local boutiques have everything you need to get Derby ready! From your outfit for the track to the accessories and decorations needed for a Derby party at home, we have it all! A list of participating boutiques and stores as well as regional wineries and local breweries will be posted on our Facebook event. Just search "Derby Sip & Shop" and stay up to date!

Tickets

There are two categories of tickets

VIP - $25 - The VIP experience starts at 1pm and lasts until 6pm. You will receive: a wine glass for tasting; a map of participating wineries/breweries and locations; a wristband; and, a special gift and a wine bag. Only 150 VIP tickets will be sold.

General Admission - $20 - The General Admission experience starts at 2:30pm and lasts until 6pm. You will receive: a wine glass for sampling; a map of participating wineries/breweries and locations; and, a wristband. Only 250 General Admission tickets will be sold.

Registration will be at the Develop New Albany office at 406 Pearl St. This is a 21 and over event and valid ID will be required at check-in. Once you receive your packet, you are off to spend a beautiful Spring day exploring local boutiques and restaurants in downtown New Albany. Derby attire is encouraged!

Free parking is available at the parking garage at the corner of Market and State as well as multiple public parking lots around downtown as well as street parking.

This event is rain or shine. Tickets are not refundable but can be transferred by emailing developnainfo@gmail.com with the name on the original confirmation and the name of the person it is being transferred to.

It is required by law that your wine and brew tastings take place inside the premises that you received the tasting. Please feel free to shop while you complete your tasting experience. In addition to tastings, you may purchase wine by the bottle or beer by the growler for carry out. Glasses must be empty before strolling to the next stop. Please respect the rules so we can continue this event in the future. Please drink responsibly and plan accordingly. For everyone's safety, please do not drink and drive.
