Grown Up Book Fair

*If you haven’t heard, The Grown-up Book Fair is back this year as a ticketed event with The Whispering Shelf, and it sold out incredibly fast! We have been working on creating an inviting atmosphere for all book lovers who plan to visit Guggman on Saturday 2/28, whether or not you have a ticket. 

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT AROUND GUGGMAN ON 2.28 FOR THE GROWN-UP BOOK FAIR:

THE COFFEE HAUS:

• Open 8am - 5pm with two Latte specials: One More Chapter: Cherry Chai & Cancel My Plans: Rosemary Blackberry Latte
• Golden Era Permanent Jewelry in the Haus from 10am-5pm.

BEER GARDEN: “Bonfire & Books”

• Bring or buy a book and enjoy it by the bonfire in the beer garden (weather dependent)

  TAPROOM: Opens at 11am

• Tapping our latest beer: The Mood Reader Boysenberry Blueberry Sour 
•  $1 per pint of each Mood Reader sold will be donated to Indy Reads 
•  Main entry for the day is the beer garden taproom doors!

THE CABIN KITCHEN

• We’re operating a shorter menu for the weekend with some “Book Nook” specials!

THE FESTHALL (OUR EVENT SPACE)

• Shop local vendors including ceramics, art prints, candles. Plus a puzzle exchange and book donation. Bring your puzzles to swap and books to donate!

• The Festhall bar will be open with Mood Reader Sour & some other favorites + cider and wine.
• If you are a book fair ticket holder, the registration table and queues for the book fair entry are in the Festhall.

THE BOYLE GARAGE/ENTRYWAY:

• This area will be closed off and only available to ticket holders! The Whispering Shelf will have a large array of books and book fair trinkets for perusing & purchase.

FOR TICKET HOLDERS:

• Please check-in at the registration table in the Festhall to get your tote bag and book fair entrance instructions! 
•  We are doing a “rolling” entrance during your time slot - one person out equals one person in. You’ll line up by timeslot and we plan to have you perusing the book fair as close to your allotted time as possible.

**PARKING:

We have a free paved lot across the street and overflow lot to the north. There is free street parking around the neighborhood, but please consider ridesharing as well!

ABOUT THE TICKETED BOOK FAIR:

We’re bringing back all the book-fair nostalgia to Guggman! Guggman Haus and The Whispering Shelf are teaming up once again for our second annual literary adventure - the grown-up version of reliving those magical school book fairs.

Wander into the Boyle Racing Shop at Guggman and dive into a treasure trove of fiction thrills, fantastical worlds, sci-fi wonders, swoony romance, and all your favorite genres. We’ll also have non-fiction gems, adorable children’s books, and of course… the book-fair trinkets you definitely don’t need but absolutely must have. Browsing will take place in the Boyle, and other book fair activities including local vendors, live music and authors will be in the Festhall.
